About Me

Hi, I'm Kelly.  I'm a college student, studying Interactive Media Studies.  Within that major, I have a focus on visual communications.  In layman's terms, I'm studying Internet Communications with focus in graphics.  I also have an English Composition minor, so that I can continue to grow in my ability to wordsmith.

My agricultural involvement is still fairly fresh, but I've worked hard to make up for lost time.  I'm a volunteer and former intern for the AgChat Foundation.  I've also done work with the Illinois Corn Marketing Board, Illinois Agri-Women, local FFA Alumni Associations, and local- and county-level 4-H groups.  I was very, very involved in 4-H throughout high school, and had the opportunity to help start an FFA chapter during my senior year, as President.

Outside of agriculture, I enjoy reading, fishing, and going out to the movies.  I'm a huge fan of bonfires, and am cultivating a fascination with aquarium-keeping.  Currently I only have a 3-gallon tank, but after college I plan on upgrading.

I have a love for furry animals, and some animals that aren't so furry.  I'm a dog-lover, to the point of being a "dog geek."  I know way too much about animals breeds, even beyond dogs.

Someday, I hope to work in Agricultural Communications.  That's probably a given to most of you, though, considering you're reading about me on a blog about corn.
